  1. I forgot to add the text of my script here!

Hi there! My name is Mindi Hardgrow and I am a proud student at Kaplan University. I am thrilled to say that in November of this year I will graduate from Kaplan with my bachelor’s degree in communications. I started my college career immediately after high school in 1994. I was able to complete my associates degree in 1997 in Equestrian Studies of all things. After graduating I went out into the workforce, yet I still took courses here and there. It was not until about 18 months ago that I decided that I have to go back to get my bachelor’s degree to be competitive in the workforce. I researched many schools but ultimately found Kaplan to meet all of my needs. Going to school online has been fantastic on many levels. It is convenient and easily accessible. I do not have to fight traffic or bad weather to get to class. However, it has its drawbacks as well. There is a lot of coursework even more so then in traditional class settings. Sometimes it can be difficult to get all of the work required completed. With work, children, volunteering adding school to the mix can be a bit overwhelming. Even so, an online opportunity to go to school is an amazing advantage to educate people that otherwise would not be able to.
I have made some friends while my time at Kaplan and I would really like to stay connected with them. Of course in the digital world there is the traditional way of staying in touch through email. However, emailing can be time consuming and daily events are usually left out. Through social media tools such as facebook and twitter I will be able to stay connected. I feel that facebook is the best way to stay connected to see an overview of what is going on in the person’s life. Pictures are posted, events are listed and other friends are connected as well. If I want to see more in to the person’s insight and ideas I will follow their personal blogs. If I am really curious as to what the person is doing on a regular basis I will follow their tweet. There are so many opportunities to stay connected with friends I have made at Kaplan.
